ABOUT US

We are an Indivisible progressive grassroots movement group located in red rural Ohio for the areas in Congressional District 02: Highland, Adams, Ross, Pike, Clinton and the surrounding counties. A collective group of volunteers who want to stand up and fight for our democracy as well as building, protecting and sustaining our communities with mutual aid efforts, events and more.

The Indivisible movement is a progressive grassroots movement of millions of activists across every state, fueled by a partnership between thousands of autonomous local Indivisible groups and a national staff. Indivisible’s national team offers strategic leadership, movement coordination, and support to Indivisible activists, and also directly lobbies congress, builds partnerships, runs media campaigns, and develops advocacy strategies. Together we fight to defeat the rightwing takeover of the American government and build an inclusive democracy. There are also other resistance groups throughout our district, not many but there is one in Wilmington (Take Action Wilmington) Portsmouth (Kind of church involved), Mt. Orab, and Clermont 50501.

However each Indivisible chapter is their own and are sustained by volunteers. As of right now, we only have one lead for the entire group so we are seeking folks to help us more lead roles including congress, legislature and media campaigns. You can find all of the details and information on our volunteer page.

Here, we are building a community with like minded folks. We are hoping to embolden and empower the folks in our red district to stand up with us or host protests and actions in your area, we need folks out everywhere. We need to be seen and heard, red rural areas will not keep being forgotten about. You are not alone, there are many blue dots here and we're helping you find them.

Appalachian Edge Ohio Indivisible hosts protests and sends out calls to action as well as community events, workshops and activities. We host most of our protests in Peebles, Hillsboro, Chillicothe and West Union and will be always branching out to other locations. It is within our rights to assemble and protest. If you'd like to learn more about hosting your own protest protest with our help, feel free to reach out and we will help you.

Our meetings are every first Wednesday of the month at 5pm and 8pm.

No Kings and Kick out the Klowns Protest June 14th

On June 14th all of the states came together and protested on Trump's birthday. Over 12 million of us were in the streets. This should have shown the regime and their followers that the majority of the people did not vote for Donald Trump this past election. (We also know it was rigged because we actually listen to the words that come out of his mouth). We couldn't be more proud of our small and bigger towns that went out to let their voices be heard. In Chillicothe we had 300 protesters.
Bob Ford came out to play revolutionary and patriotic folk music and he never disappoints. We also had Lisa Parker, former chair of Jackson County Democratic party, former Army Reserve Officer, wife and mother of Combat Veterans and daughter and sister of Army Veterans and Kelly Nedrow, a Pike County beef farmer, member and staff of the American Federation of Teachers National union under Randi Weingarten and is a independent voter, one of our volunteers too to come out and speak to us. We couldn't be more appreciative of these folks to be there and share what we need to hear.

More is coming. More good trouble is coming. See you soon!

'protest networking'

"Chillicothe — Political free speech filled the sidewalk in front of the Ross County Courthouse on Saturday afternoon, joining a nationwide rally of “No Kings” day in opposition to the Trump administration.

A smaller number of Trump supporters and apparent conservatives peppered the crowd, surprisingly mixed in with the apparent liberal majority – in peace – between noon and 3pm. Several vehicles with Trump banners and U.S. flags were driven past the crowd."
