OHIO DATA CENTER PROPOSALS
🚫 No Data Centers
We, Adams County and all of Ohio do NOT want any data center builds and we’re not going to let it happen. 50 of us showed up at the courthouse on February 28th to stand in opposition of the proposals that will damage the rest of what we have here.
I’m gonna use this time to share some facts and information.
SOUTHERN OHIO DATA CENTER PROPOSAL
LOCATIONS
•Franklin Furnace, Haverhill: 500,000 sq. Ft. Campus affiliated with Tilted Gate LLC
•Mt Orab: 1,000 acre data center, southeast corner of Mt. Orab south of Tri-County highway
•Ashville: 600+ acres north of St. Rt. 752 EdgeConneX Data center and 234 acres on St. Rt. 104 AWS expansion
•Wilmington: 471 acre campus, Linked to Amazon Near U.S. 68 and another 500 acre of land being zoned
More proposals coming in and ground breaking has begun in some areas. Further action can be organized if folks in the area want to learn how to do more. They're coming and we must be the ones to stop them.

The data center's environmental impact goes well beyond electricity. It takes enormous amounts of water to cool those servers. One facility alone consumes millions of liters in a day, particularly those that utilize evaporative cooling systems. In already water-stressed areas, this additional pressure can impact agriculture, ecosystems, and even domestic water supplies.
___________________________
• MASSIVE LAND USE, LITTLE BENEFIT
• STRAIN ON FRAGILE INFRASTRUCTURE
• HEAVY WATER AND POWER USE
• DAILY NOISE AND LIGHT POLLUTION
• EMISSIONS AND POOR AIR QUALITY
• LITTLE TO NO PERMANENT LOCAL JOBS
"Our environment is our lifeline. It provides us with the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the resources we use. Protecting it is not just a choice-it's a necessity."
Follow Adams County for Responsible Development for more and timely updates.
We need help keeping up with town meetings about the data centers in every town or city in these counties. If you would like to help us with keeping up so we can add to our calendar and share please do. You can send the information to our email or directly to our signal (not the chat).
